Plain Paratha Family Pack

(5 customer reviews)

Parathas are flatbreads that originate from the Indian Subcontinent and are usually more substantial than a chapatti. They are crispy on the outside when cooked,  with layers of dough on the inside. Traditionally making these from scratch would take hours to make as the process involves repeatedly layering and coating (a similar method used to make puff pastry). But we’ve taken the hard work out and these take 2-3 mins cooked in a non-stick pan. No oil or butter required. Enjoy with your favourite dish or alongside Riya’s chai!

Great parathas, not sure why the other review says it’s dry. They come out really nice, crispy, flaky and lightly buttered even without using any oil. I am a single parent and my daughter’s name is Rhea and she picked these up and must admit I am well impressed.

    Best paratha

  4. Samiah Kauser

I’d probably give it 0 stars. It’s basically a roti, not paratha so dry , not fluffy or flakes like most parathas, definitely need to change recipe. And making technique.

      Hi Samiah

I am sorry you dont like our parathas. If you are finding them dry then please add a little butter or oil in a pan before cooking and these will crisp them up nicely.

These parathas are the best we’ve ever had in the UK. No other brand comes close. My wife is from Malaysia and she has never been able to get the right parathas here. We bought a family pack and we were absolutely delighted when we tried them, they were exactly what we’ve been looking for. They are so popular they have sold out in our local Asda, I emailed Riya’s to find out where else I can buy them locally. I had a personal call from Anita and she gave me a list of other stores. What great service and a fantastic company all round. Thank you Anita, please keep the Parathas coming!!!
