FAQs
What is a Lacha Paratha?
Lacha is a type of paratha flatbread that originate from the Indian Subcontinent . They are handmade and multi layered giving it a deliciously crip texture when cooked.
How long does it take to make them?
Well, traditionally making these from scratch would take hours to make as the process involves repeatedly layering and coating (a similar method used to make puff pastry). But we’ve taken the hard work out and these take 2-3 mins cooked in a non-stick pan. No oil or butter required.
Are these eaten as a savoury dish only?
Riya’s Lacha Parathas can be eaten with a savoury or sweet dish (Kids love adding Nutella to a cooked paratha!). Alternatively they can be enjoyed with a cup of Riya’s Chai!

Bought these recently and have to say i was disappointed with the size. The box is very misleading as the parathas were half the size of the box. Product itself was ok, nothing special. To give you an idea of size, we normally heat 1 paratha per pan however we could heat 3 per pan with this product.

Hi Kulvinder
Thank you for your feedback. Our lacha parathas have now been increased in size and slightly thinner (no change in grammage) as we agree they were small and also slightly thicker than we would have liked. These are fully handmade the traditional way as you will have noticed with many layers giving it the crispiness and texture if made at home. We like constructive feedback! Its the only way we can improve!
